So one day something special happened. On a train journey from London to Manchester I had a light bulb moment and invented something.


I needed something to prop my smartphone against to watch a Thelonious Monk documentary (or was it a cat video?) and with nothing suitable at hand I set myself the design challenge of folding one up.


At the end of the trip I had successfully watched my documentary and had come out with an idea that would evolve into Popstand.

Popstand is a neat little stand that is magical. It is magical in the way that it takes virtually zero space when you don't need it and because of exactly that, it can be taken with you anywhere. So it is always there when you do need it.


Thanks to a simple yet clever folding mechanism, Popstand can fold flat to the size of a credit card and be stored in your wallet, ready to be propped up and hold your smartphone when you need to watch, read or skype someone for more than a few of minutes.
After a year of tweaks and improvements, endless research into materials, how to be environmentally friendly and a journey into the world of Intellectual property, Popstand became a real thing.

Made of durable, 100% recyclable polypropylene and design registered in the EU and abroad, Popstand now is looking for partners to produce and distribute it to different markets.
